Gardeners' Market at South Park
The Healthy By Design Gardeners’ Market is designed to bring healthy, fresh, local, and affordable fruits and vegetables to the community. The market is also a social meeting place to celebrate health and nutrition.
Healthy By Design partners with Billings Parks, Recreation, and Public Lands to bring the market to South Park.
The season runs from the second week of June through the first week in October.
The 2026 Market season runs each Thursday from June 11 to October 1, 2026 from 4 PM to 6 PM.

The Gardeners’ Market is located near the eastern edge of South Park in Billings, MT, with a primary access point at the intersection of South 28th Street (South Broadway) and 7th Avenue South.
Local farmer or backyard grower? Become a vendor!
We are always looking for new vendors. There are no fees or long-term commitments.
- Vendors can sell fresh produce, eggs, baked goods, and handcrafted items.
- All products must be produced by the vendor. Check out our vendor brochure for more information.
- All vendors must attend a Gardeners’ Market orientation prior to selling at the market each year.
- Vendors must call or e-mail the Market Manager at least two days before each market to ensure a space.
- The 2026 Vendor Handbook can provide more information on selling at the market and all vendors will be given a packet prior to selling that will cover payment options and other regulations.
- For vendors interested in selling goods that may include notable amounts of sugars, artificial flavors, colors, or trans fats, please make sure to read this extension of the Vendor Handbook outlining alternative, healthier options for these ingredients.

- Vendors are encouraged to accept SNAP and debit/credit tokens at the Gardeners’ Market and must receive a short training before accepting tokens.
- Produce vendors are also encouraged to accept WIC Farm Direct benefits and Montana Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) Coupons at the Gardeners’ Market. You must receive a 30-minute training at the WIC Program before accepting WIC benefits. You must receive a short training from Montana Farm Connect before accepting SFMNP Coupons.
