Good Neighbor Toolkit

Good neighbor toolkit

By working closely with the Grown in Billings group and the Billings Public Library, the Good Neighbor Toolkit was created and aims to encourage family friendly, neighborhood connections. The Good Neighbor Toolkit is designed to foster meaningful connections and promote health in Yellowstone County through neighborhood gatherings and block parties.

Neighborhood Connection

Why social connection matters

The Good Neighbor Toolkit targets social drivers of health like access to safe housing and neighborhoods, access to nutritious foods, and access to physical activity and educational opportunities.

The toolkit also aims to promote positive childhood experiences for kids in Yellowstone County by:

  • Introducing children to a network of adult peers outside of their immediate family
  • Helping children at critical stages of development
  • Boosting the physical and mental well-being of all residents
  • Helping Yellowstone County be healthy by design by promoting health and well-being among community members
